CHARTS only: Free People crochet dress

If you like to crochet it (and UNDERSTAND how to crochet with charts-only), it’s not a problem to make your OWN creation!

It is not the usual detailed description on over 5 pages :). These crochet stitches were drawn per customer’s request in 2014: conceptcreativeblog/2014/06/17/crochet.

You will receive 4 diagrams in high quality.

► diagram 1 – semicircle (seen at model’s waist)

► diagram 2 – round motifs and connecting them together

► diagram 3 – upper level of round motifs

► diagram 4 – bottom level of round motifs and the edge

There are no written instructions – only charts with standardized crochet symbols! Charts are in PDF-format. A small fragment (preview) of one diagram is shown above.

All four diagrams cover the parts of the dress highlighted in blue (see photo of white dress). The stitches were drawn from the original size US (6), UK (10), Europe (38) available on the internet. The rest of the dress is the main pattern, constantly repeated, thus the dress can be adjusted for many sizes by experienced crocheters.

How to crochet this dress for any size:

At first crochet two semicircles seen around the waist (shown in diagram 1), then work upward – crochet the main pattern in the top of the dress. Make sure that semicircles remain where they are in the original photos (the main pattern is quite stretchy!).

Then follow diagram 2 for crocheting round motifs and connecting them together as you go. Complete both levels of round motifs: top level of motifs with main pattern is shown in diagram 3 and bottom level with edge – in diagram 4. Finally connect all parts of the dress together.

Suggested yarn and hook:

Loosely woven 100 % cotton approx. 300-350 m per 100 gr = 330-380 yds per 3.5 oz, which is Sport-weight in USA and 5 ply in UK, AU. For example, Drops-Loves-You-7 , Drops-Safran, Krea-Deluxe-Organic-Cotton, Lang-Yarns-Baby-Cotton-Sport, Hjertegarn-Cotton-nr-8, Annell-Cotton-8,  Lion-Brand-A-Star-Is-Born-Oh-Baby-Organic .

We suggest using the hook size stated on the yarn label by the yarn producer. All people crochet with different tension, if you crochet chain-spaces too loose, you might wish to use a smaller hook and vice versa.
