DETOUR: Crochet Sweater Pattern – Crochet Tutorial in English

Your project will be worked in the round without seams. This is the colorful version of the previously published Detour-sweater that was made with a different yarn – instead of Fingering-weight=1=SuperFine merino wool this sweater was crocheted with Sport-weight=2=Fine cotton/acrylic/wool blend.

This sweater crochet pattern is provided for sizes:

S-M with bust circumference 90-95 cm = 35.5-37.5’’;
M-L with bust circumference 101-106 cm = 40-42’’;
L-XL with bust circumference 111-117 cm = 43.7-46’’;
2XL-3XL with bust circumference 122-128 cm = 48-50.5’’.

Gauge in this pattern: 16 dc by 9 rows = 10 x 10 cm = 4″ x 4’’.

If you wish to crochet elastic sweater that will take the shape of your body you may use merino wool or micro-fiber. With less elastic yarns like cotton/acrylic your sweater will be straight.

Yarn usage for sleeveless top (length 46 cm=18’’): from 846 to 1120 yards depending on your size.
Yarn usage for sweater with long sleeves (length 56 cm=22’’): from 1610 to 2185 yards depending on your size.
