We think yarn is the most essential part to crochet wearables neatly. The thicker is the yarn the faster and thicker will be your clothing garment, the more protruding will be all seams and imperfections, the most likely you will not want to wear it outside the house. We love summer crochet garments made with fingering weight yarn (4 ply in the UK) and when several rows of solid double crochet stitches emphasize the contrasting lacy geometric patterns. Such garments remain lacy enough, not too thick to make you sweaty, and do not take ages to complete. If you’ve never tried crocheting a wearable piece, give this pattern a try.
With the same pattern you can create sweaters or off-the-shoulder tops shown in photos. For lengthening sleeves and body just crochet more rows.
