WARMNESS: Sweater Crochet Pattern – Crochet Tutorial in English

User Review
( votes)Asymmetrical silhouettes are a great way to give your winter looks a modern twist. This warm crochet pullover is the most wearable crochet garment I have designed so far – elegant, stylish and dramatic. Asymmetric front hides a small belly while the uneven waistline completes the modern effect and ensures a flattering look on your body. Practical, close fitting design that cares to prevent losing warmth and does not consume too much yarn (you will need 600/690/740 gram or 21/24.5/26 oz depending on the size). Long scalloped edge sleeves and ribbon embellishments complete the look.
As with all asymmetrically shaped fitted garments front, back and sleeves are to be drawn and described for each particular size. Due to the amount of charts for sizes M, L, XL and detailed written description this tutorial is more pricey than others.
This crochet pattern is provided for sizes:
M with bust circumference 88-94 cm (34.5-37’’),
L with bust circumference 98-104 cm (38.5-41’’),
XL with bust circumference 108-114 cm (42.5-45’’).
Yarn: Fingering / 4 ply / 400 m in 100 gr / 438 yards in 3.5 oz / example. Total yarn usage is 2570 – 3250 yards (2350 – 2972 m).
Choosing the right YARN and HOOK to achieve great results

➽ Yarn Saver Tip: Before you decide to crochet any sweater made with thick yarn – please pay attention to sleeves and seams in photos. Whether the wearer hides all excessive width under her arms or garments have not flattering bumps at armholes? Many free crochet sweaters made with thick yarn, double crochet stitches (without chains in between) have T-shapes, because such sleeves do not require any shaping. T-shaped lacy kimonos made with thin thread do look fine because any excessive width drapes beautifully along the sides. All excessive thick double crochet stitches not only consume more yarn, but will be gathered under your arms (especially if you intend to wear sweaters under winter coats) because people are not built in T-shapes.

Great pattern! The design is stunning and original, every detail was well thought of. While it is a challenging project (lots of precise shaping, and the stitch pattern itself is rather intricate), Inna’s tutorial makes it easy. Written descriptions are very thorough, with many pictures to illustrate each step, and the charts are amazing, very reader-friendly. It is definitely worth making.
